[ILUG] Question about email address & mailing list

I just found that googling eillo.org quite quickly reveals my email address.

Specifically googling ollie at eillo dot org reveals that this comes form 
mailing list archives of some sort?

I can understand that these should be available for other people to learn from but 
is it necessary to display everyones email address?

Its been ages since i looked at linux.ie but is my email address there because i 
put it there at some stage? 

Can i remove this? I faintly remember there being a login but after looking 
quickly couldn't find it.
