[ILUG] Lidl tablet

[ILUG] Lidl tablet

Tony Groves tongro at eircom.net

I notice Lidl will be selling an "Aiptek 600U Premium II Slim Tablet"
for €50 next week. Specs are at
http://www.lidl.ie/ie/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20081215.p.Aiptek600UPremiumIISlimTablet . They say it supports Windows and Mac but as usual no mention of Linux. I've never used a tablet but I'd love to have one for my occasional forays into drawing with GIMP. Does anyone here have any opinions about the quality/suitability and whether it would be easy to get it working with Debian Etch?

Thanks a lot.

Tony.
