Hi John,
MplayerPlugin has "issues" with some Real content and is not supported
by Mozilla http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html#RealPlayer (although,
admittedly it does work really well with most files). It seems
to have particular difficulty with the SMIl files we use. You really
should use Realplayer for Real files instead, freeplayer is here:
http://www.real.com/freeplayer/?rppr=rnwk
We use Realplayer on Fedora and Ubuntu here without any
issues. NB mplayerplugin will have to be configured not to try
and play Real's content. A thread on disabling mplayerplugin for .rm
files is here : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=323089
Regards,
John
