Hey,
Demonware are hiring yet again.
The Job descriptions, blurbs etc are on our website:
http://www.demonware.net/jobs.html
In particular we are looking for:
- Server-side Software Developers
We build systems in Erlang, MySQL and Python which are comparable to
Xbox Live or the Playstation Network.
Our biggest clusters regularly handle well in excess of 100,000
concurrent users.
If you are an experienced developer with real world experience
building server applications with C++, Python, MySQL and functional
languages and you are looking for a challenge please get in touch.
- Linux Systems Engineers
We hosted online services for some of the biggest games of 2007
including Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero 3.
A lot of Linux servers power the backend for these games. We are
always on the lookout for experienced competent Linux sysadmins who
are comfortable with large scale Internet facing installs,
Debian/Ubuntu and MySQL. Given the number of hosts we admin strong
scripting and automation skills are a must.
- MySQL DBA
Are you a MySQL guru who can read raw binary logs?
Have you implemented the impossible like say Multi Master replication?
Are you part of a team which manages a large number of production
MySQL servers handling 10s of 1000s of queries per second?
I know the our Jobs page says Vancouver, but we will happily entertain
applications for our Dublin office, relocation is not necccessary.
We have a good benefits package, all the usuals like health insurance,
pension contributions, bonus plan, generous vacation allowance.
We also have all the important things like a good coffee machine with
great coffee beans, an organic fruit box delivered weekly, a pool and
games room, great workstations with multiple large monitors, good
chairs, free games etc.
I can't comment on salaries but I do know that we will pay well for
the right candidates.
I had a quick look at the BrightWater salary surveys Rachel sent
around and we definitely pay competitively.
If you have any questions feel free to drop me a mail personally.
