Hello, a bit of dd'ing :
dd if=/dev/zero of=/shares/internal/out.test bs=1k count=10000
10240000 bytes (10 MB) copied, 1.50565 seconds, 6.8 MB/s
dd if=/dev/zero of=/shares/internal/out.test bs=1k count=100000
102400000 bytes (102 MB) copied, 15.5588 seconds, 6.6 MB/s
dd if=/dev/zero of=/shares/internal/out.test bs=1k count=1000000
1024000000 bytes (1.0 GB) copied, 155.217 seconds, 6.6 MB/s
As you can see, speed is slightly better (about 12 times faster than
copy over the network) but still failry poor ... I should also mention
that when I created the RAID1, i did sync it at 500k/s looking at
/proc/mdstat ...
Any other suggestion ?
