Hi Folks,
We've recently got a HD TV, and the first thing I noticed is that it's got a
VGA socket at the back. This has got me started on wanting to build a media
centre box for under the TV. We have sky (not Sky HD) at the moment. I've
been looking at the Sky HD boxes but they are really expensive - €400, and
there isn't much in the way of content. So I was thinking that if I build a
box for under the TV I might as well add a HD card.
I've been checking out what I need and I'm going to try and ask a sky
engineer to add a new LNB to the dish, giving me an additional cable to use
with the new box. Now I'm down the the difficult task of selecting the TV
card. So I'm looking for some advice, does anyone know of a Satellite TV
card that will handle HD and is compatible with Linux ? DVB-S2 is what I'm
after.
I've been looking at this card :

But I've not been able to find any reports of it being used with MythTV /
Linux.... anyone got a suggestion ?
