I know it's a buzz word to actually ask for a SSD but after having
touched the eeePC, I decided that it was a bit too plastic for me. You
can find good reconditioned IBM x31 laptops from Ebay, they are cheap,
reliable and small. I just bought one for 300 euros inc shipping. They
come without CDrom drive but any USB bootable device will sort you out
no problem, They also have PXE boot.
