Acknowledge the 'cover your ass' aspect.

Worth noting: Deploying stateless (wrt any protocol FSMs at least) 
firewall in front of sensitive boxes does not preclude deploying a 
stateful firewall on the sensitive host itself.

Stateful on the end-host is obviously just fine.. (Though, still 
redundant, but if it floats your boat - it's your host).
