For slightly more, you could go for a Devolo Power adapter. Recently
connected one which even allows me to bridge straight from the
internet modem to my router through electricity and works deadly. I
also tested a couple of scp's and achieved a respectable 9MB/s.

Note that they mention up to 200Mb/s but my testing (understand
technical and not marketing) gave me 72Mb/s still not too bad for that
kind of product.
