Hello Everyone,
I just dug out an old pc that i want to run Xubuntu on. It has 192 MB SD-RAM running at 100mhz fsb.
I want ot add some more ram and i know that if the new RAM is capable of the faster 133 mhz speed it should run at this.(Provided i take out the old RAM.)
Also i assume the old slot 1 pentium 2 450mhz runs at 100 mhz fsb as well.
Can anyone tell me off the cuff if i should be able to slot in a pentium 3 processor running at 1GHz or so? You can get these on Ebay cheap but hey run at 133 mhz fsb and i dont know if the same rules apply as for memory.
Cheers,
Ollie.
