you can run 133MHz RAM at 100MHz. As you say it 100% depends on the
Motherboard and BIOS version.
I have a few dual CPU and one old single CPU PIII. They won't go faster
than 450MHz. One system actually had a pair of slot type PII's 333MHz
and works at 400MHz with a PIII
A Dual CPU Dell 220 I have doesn't go faster than 933MHz PIII. It uses
RD-RAM/Rambus, so it's not getting any more RAM.
