[ILUG] IOTC Conference - Demo Tables

Hi Iluggers.
We're trying to drum up some support for next week's open source
conference.It seems that Ireland is as ready for the open source / free
software revolution that organisers thought they would be!
To make the show a more interesting place and also to allow people in at a
decent 50% discount (might be able to negotiate free entry), we're looking
for people to help in setting up and manning some linux app demo tables.
These days linux and open source / free software in general has some pretty
cool apps under its belt and showcasing these would make for a good
exhibition. So far, mythtv, asterisk and random business apps seem to be the
best.

Here's what I'm looking for. There will be 3 tables / areas set up, an
internet café (Ltsp), a media centre showcase (mythtv) and perhaps an
asterisk / business apps stand. The organisers have offered 6 free passes to
those who run the stands and 50% admission to volunteers after that. If
there's major interest I might be able to negotiate something else. I'm
going to help out with each of the tables (setup / hardware etc) but won't
be using one of the free passes cos I'm paying in (the joy of being self
employed...expenses!)

Ok, so if anyone wants to put their hands up to man the tables (2 per table
to lead plus helpers after that) mail me back onlist. Also, if anyone feels
strongly enough that they'd like to demo something else, post here too.
