I've a cheap and cheerful HP F4180 here, printing and scanning work
grand with SANE and CUPS. (hpaio driver or somesuch, least for
scanning).
AFAICT, it's impossible to go wrong buying any modern HP printer, now
matter how cheap, for use with Linux.
