it's probably sdc1.
you can usually find the correct one by typing "/dev/sd" then hitting
the tab button - a list of existing nodes will be shown.
your dmesg dump showed a load of errors - hopefully the camera isn't
faulty... You may need to use one of those multi-headed USB cables (two
ends on the Laptop side to give the USB device (your camera) more power).
someone mentioned that I didn't explicitly mention the fs format in the
mount command - usually it is not required when mounting something as
widely known as vfat.
