presume you can't reflash it becasue there's no available boot devices apart
from windows unless you can flash it from windows i.e. download a 32bit exe
that loads the bios flsher into the bootloader so when you reboot it reads
the flasher from the hard drive.
If that works then just load linux this time and get rid of windows. On a
laptop of that age running windows is not doing yo any favours and you
mentioned that you have a windows desktop anyway.
