permissive or enforced?
I assume you have enabled the booleans if enforced, otherwise it won't work.
getenforce |grep samba
Will show you the current state of affairs.
man -k samba | grep selinux
(or something similar)
To show you the syntax to enable boleans, or directories etc.
There are better and easier ways to achieve your goals -- beware the selinux
booleans if enforcing!
