[ILUG] Linux Fedora 9 - Mobile Internet access?

[ILUG] Linux Fedora 9 - Mobile Internet access?

I use a 3 huawei e220 hsdpa modem. NM picks it up as a gsm device and
it connects fine.
Some firmware versions don't get along well with HAL -
/var/log/messages will list lots of connect/disconnects. Either
upgrading the firmware or adding a HAL rule (see
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=253096#c55) sorts it out.
