Well, that's what the MEPs are for. Being directly elected
politicians they are supposed to quite receptive to hearing from
their electorate. My experience is that this is indeed the case.
If you think your local TDs are going to have much say in what our
government does in europe, when few will even be part of the
governing party, never mind in the cabinet of the government, you're
deluded.
The problem with the EU is, as far as I can tell, that the MEPs have
no effective power to change things.
