A LAN is not special from the point of view of sending email. You
have at least three options:
1. Use your ISP's mail server as normal
2. Setup an email server for your LAN (lots of work + stuff to learn)
3. Use a floppy / CDROM / USB key / network filesystem to transfer stuff
instead (depends on what you're sending I suppose!)
