[ILUG] Sending email across a LAN

Ok, as I'm doing this on Fedora for a while thought I'd chip in.

Edit /etc/aliases on "Helen"
scroll to end of aliases until you get to

# Person who should get root's mail
#root:		marc
Uncomment root  change marc to: tim at alfred.gayleard.com 

Save changes, then from a cli as su, enter /usr/sbin/newaliases - press enter (this update it with changes made to aliases)

On "helen" add to hosts file
Alfred ip   alfred.gayleard.com  (so your mail won't waste it's time searhing the www for alfred)
