All depends on what you want. I wanted to work with Linux as well but don't think its worth basing a course choice only on that.

Its probably accurate to say the most common Linux jobs out there is in system admin in which case the first course is better.

If you want to develop Linux software then the second one is better, but its probably difficult to find someone to pay you for it :)


    * BSc (Hons) in Software Systems Development == programming / testing oriented
    * BSc (Hons) in Information Technology == sys admin / IT support oriented
