The mapping party is now officially confirmed as going ahead. We will
hopefully be operating the mapping party between the CAMARA offices and
the Ubuntu-ie venue (around the corner, I'm told) on Saturday the 20th.
The mapping party will continue on the 21st from the CAMARA offices.
Thanks to Eoghan of CAMARA and Maciej of Ubuntu-ie for the facility to
run this.
Apropos SFD itself, I'll certainly be around (I've offered to give a
brief presentation), as will Paul and Rach and many OSM people. We're
hoping to get many new OSM devotees, and of course hoping that many ILUG
people will turn up also.
Given there's a significant ILUG presence, would it be an idea to run
an ILUG stand for SFD? Paul, Rachael and I have agreed to ensure it's
manned (and womaned) but any further help and assistance would be great
- as would ideas for what we can display. I have computers and monitors,
there's plenty of laptops about - and I can do as much networking as is
required. Assuming internet connectivity is available, someone suggested
a mini internet cafe. Other thoughts?
Over to you, our members, to tell us what representation you want for
ILUG at the Ireland Software Freedom Day event.
