[ILUG] Dell D430 - Dual Monitor setup...

	   Hi,

Hopefully someone on the list might be able to help me out:

- I have a Dell D430 laptop, 12.4" 1280x800 screen. It works very
happily with Ubuntu Linux.

- It sits in a docking station that provides me with a DVI connector and
a VGA (15-pin D-sub) connector.

- lspci tells me the graphics chipset is:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

My question:
- Is it possible to use the laptop in dual-head mode with 2 x external
monitors?

I have succeeded in creating a dual-head setup, both under Linux and
Windows XP - but every time, the laptop's internal screen figures as one
of the displays. Is there a hardware limitation that forces me to always
use the internal screen as one of the monitors, or am I doing something
wrong?

Any clues / suggestions / working configuration examples would be
appreciated.

	Best regards,
	-->Gar
