I would normally just check myself but the bloody machine refuses to have
keyboard BIOS action.... so no Linux...
"hardware" snapshots of an LVM Lun will have the same UUID as the parent, so
this causes issues if you are presenting said snapshot back to the same
host.
Even windows will have issues with bad signatures.
My question is, if we go for LVM snapshots, will this automagically generate
a unique UUID? I would assume so.... like I said, I would normally just make
one and check myself...
I'm in the market for a new machine, but the ceiling fell down so money is
