Hello, we went mostly for Xeon Dual Processors, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU
L5320 @ 1.86GHz, they are at a decent price and have the vmx
extensions (our Xen are HVM).
I noted a big difference post xen 3.1.x, the upgrade I did using 3.2
and 3.3 have been improving performances nicely and better interaction
of VMs. The dom0 has 8GB of RAM and we currently have 17 VMs on it
(they are low use for most of them so interrupts not quite an issue).
Cheers,
Steph
