Darragh,

At this point, I don't recall exact details, but the main issue was 
Stability - in critical commercial, stressful, environments. Not "home" 
installs, where users might be much more accommodating.

LinkSys APs, Routers, etc, installed side-by-side with similar devices 
from other manufacturers, and the LinkSys stuff was extremely unstable - 
dropping connections with clients, locking/hanging, etc. Some "no-name" 
devices were installed in the same environments, with no major issues.

I recall serious exchanges with the LinkSys Support folks, installing 
newer firmware, etc, with no significant improvements in stability.

I think there were no "power" issues with the devices, so ramping up the 
signal strengths was not an issue, AFAIR.
