[ILUG] Jaunty Jackalope and Wireless

	Intrepid was a huge leap forward in reliability (re wireless
networking) from Hardy Heron. I found that WPA2 service in particular
was more reliable (tested heavily on services such as eduroam) and the
3G dongles and the like no longer required any scripting or hackery on
my part.

	Unfortunately, Intrepid seems to have introduced an elusive retrograde
step re video drivers (best I can tell) which results in the occasional
complete hang of my laptop. This is infrequent enough not to be a big
problem, but much more frequent than I'd like.

	Re networking, everything is plug and play, and I can honestly say that
using Ubuntu networking on a laptop (which requires moving from wired to
wireless to 3G dongle and back again multiple times on a daily basis) is
far easier and more user friendly on an Ubuntu box than on Windows -
particularly when factoring in the 3G dongle aspect.

	I've not tested Jaunty yet - I've reached the stage where I use
computers to do work, rather than just use them for the fun of using
them (mostly! ;-)  ) so I tend to wait for production releases now,
rather than testing the RCs and the like.
