Nothing odd in the logs, The last few lines in the log files filtered 
for dovecot and this user show nothing I don't see for other users (see 
below). I will crank up the logging and see if I can catch the next crash:

Dec 15 11:35:01 server dovecot: IMAP(xxxxx): Disconnected: Logged out
Dec 15 11:46:06 server dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<xxxx>, 
method=PLAIN, rip=192.168.100.44, lip=192.168.100.1
Dec 15 12:14:11 server dovecot: IMAP(xxxx): Disconnected for inactivity
Dec 15 13:16:34 server dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<xxxx>, 
method=PLAIN, rip=192.168.100.44, lip=192.168.100.1
