I am looking to upgrade one of our machines but I have a few questions.
In terms of motherboards we have recently gone for AMD processors with
nvidia chipsets - no great reason but they have always behaved for us
whereas other boards have, on average, been less helpful. I know that's
purely a subjective viewpoint based on a small set of data - but you go
with what works.
Anyway I have been Googling around and seem to be digging up a lot of
Linux issues with the Nvidia geforce 8200 chipset. Does anyone have
experience with this chipset - particularly with Debian/Lenny? We have
been looking at the Asus M3N78 range of boards and they are 8200 based.
Is my Nvidia/AMD period of computer building coming to an end?
Kevin.
