Plug your 3G dongle into whatever's behind your router (laptop / desktop 
/ etc) and use that instead of the router.  If the device in question is 
running linux (why else you you be in ilug) it's easy enough to set it 
up as a router.  Running tcpdump or ethereal/wireshark will tell you 
exactly what traffic is passing up and down the link.

Does Three's online usage monitor or your ppp.log file indicate which 
direction the bulk of traffic is heading?
