Hi Brendan,
If your only using it for Wireshark with the purpose of monitoring traffic I
would assume you could just buy the cheapest of the cheap. Your not doing
any actual routing so all your processor needs to do is capture any packets
it see's, rather than decide to do something with them. I know
expansys.iehave been doing a good netbook deal on an Acer Aspire One
for €180 (there
may be a similar offer on them by a provider out in Maine?), but all in all
"a cheap-ass laptop with some minimal processor speed N" would probably be
best. As for what N is...I don't know but not much at any rate.
