I wrote a while back on that and found a fix for it. What was
introduced in firmware 2.0.1 is a different checksum for songs
apparently. I suspect this is not the only change but could explain
why amarok said : "cannot write to database". Anyhow, I used a source
program called hash_crack which requires you to input the serial of
the device then does some magic on the device. After that, amarok
would still fail but when i used gtkpod and wrote to the DB, no error
occured. Since then, I have been able to use it with amarok again.
