Hi all,
I'm just installing opensuse11 on my blister's laptop. It's an inspiron
1501 and vista basic with 1GB was just ridiculously slow.
She lived with it as I had disabled about 90% of the serices and made it
somewhat usable - I even went as far as disabling the icon that tell you
what network you are on :-)
However it has decided to no longer work in anything but safe mode.
As I only have her laptop for a few days, so I'd like to get it up and
running and fully configured so she has nothing to do.
The main concern is wifi. It is still in install stage (updating from
t'internet currently), so I'm just posting to see if anyone has tried it
already and has a nice howto.
I must say, KDE4 is very nice looking on it, the wife wants it on her
laptop now, that's saying something.
So anyone with a wifi howto, I'llkeep googling in the meantime, with my
bottle of chianti *hic*.
Conor.
