Your friend should definitely write or email the company concerned.The
problem might be finding the correct person to contact - big corporates
can be difficult to find your way around.
Its very likely someone has used the pictures without knowing what they
were doing - we had exactly the same incident with a website we are
helping a company with today: they added pictures which they had no
right to and we knew they hadn't asked either. It was simply a mistake,
someone's secretary was asked to add some stuff to the website and she
added some nice pictures without any thought of copyright. Easy to use
CMS systems make this kind of mistake easy.
They will be removed tomorrow.....hope they weren't your mates pictures!
Contact the company - 90% are reasonable.
