However in terms of machine spec's you probably don't need anything
sophisticated for a mail server. I run two mail servers - one runs from
a five year old machine and the other runs on an even older K6-450 with
256M RAM. The five year old machine happily runs the mail server and
several other server jobs for an office with up to 10 people. So unless
you are planning shifting thousands of messages a day you should be OK.
You are more likely to find your internet connection to be the
bottleneck if you have heavy usage on your mail server.
