I have a handytone 496. I wouldn't buy it again. It regularly dropped
idle tcp sessions (noticeable in ssh in particular) so I had to stop using
it as a router. I had the latest firmware and I came across one or two
other people mentioning the issue online. There was also pretty serious
echo at times. I'm not sure if it was to blame for the echo, but it lacked
echo cancellation so it didn't help.
I currently use one of these:

which has no such issues. As far as I recall, it's made by Thomson.
