I read Linux Journal. It's very reasonably priced and thus far I'm
happy to say that every month there's something in it that interests me.
I also find it strangely comforting every now and then to leaf through
an actual paper publication - but that's just me :)
tbh, you generally won't find anything in LJ that you won't find
elsewhere on the internet, but it's nice that for a reasonable price
people take the trouble to package it up.
This is all my (very) humble opinion. You don't *need* a magazine to
learn about Linux and as a reference, LJ is generally not that great. It
tends to be good for introducing new concepts and giving a brief
overview of them though. I have many past editions if you want to take a
