The samsung ones are very decent too, but (& it's a big BUT! ) unless
you buy them though an official samsung OEM retail channel Samsung will
not honour the guarantee, you won't even get as far as talking to a
human or getting an emailed answer from Samsung.
I am now the proud owner of a 64G Samsung SLC SDD that was bricked (It's
early firmware) by a SATA secure erase command. If anyone knows where I
might find firmware (& possibly the software tools to flash this via
JTAG ) I would be interested in hearing about it
When it did work it was very very fast and it made desktop linux feel
very responsive, you can get used to open office writer opening from
cold in under a second ;-)
