Some offices I'm involved in had similar problems a few years back, with
ADSL services from BT. At least once in every 24-hour period, perhaps
around midnight, BT automatically "renewed" some aspect of the link (I
forget exactly what), and this usually broke comms that was active at
that moment.
I think the client eventually had to move to other suppliers.
