It would be so nice not to have to say on eBay
that I live in Alaska with Zip Code 00000

Incidentally, I think in the US there is some link
between credit card (eg Visa) numbers and zip-codes,
and some (most?) large companies
won't send material to an address with a zip code
that differs from that deduced from the credit card.
