[ILUG] Linux based resource management solution?

[ILUG] Linux based resource management solution?

Currently I am working on a team where we have several Linux servers that
are used for development and testing.

It often occurs that someone will want to reserve exclusive access to a
system(s).
Traditionally a wiki page was simply used to keep track of this, and people
are expected to edit/update the page accordingly. This is a little
lackluster.

Some initial research turns up software such as
Redmine<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redmine>,
Collabtive, etc. however, these appear to be more fully fledged Project
Management packages rather than a a simple systems tracker. Other options I
have considered include writing a small database with a web frontend, or
possibly some form of wiki-based app.

Is anyone aware of an existing, preferably Linux/OSS based solution to this
problem?

Regards,

Paul.
