There has been a fair bit of talk this month on the HTC Hero which is an
Android phone available right now from Meteor for the relatively modest sum
of €110 with a €25 x 12 month contract (or €80 with a €20x18 month
contract).

It's worth reading the thread.  Some argue (quiet rightly) that the Hero is
3 year old hardware compared to the Nexus One which is newer and faster,
particularly with the new version of Android about to come out.  The N1 is
pretty pricey though.  I'm pretty sure you can get them out of contract on

I personally decided to go with a Hero and am pretty pleased thus far.
