|[ ... ] I have had occasion to be glad of an alias in Mandriva:

| $ alias
| alias rm='rm -i'
A colleague I once worked with was fond of creating the file
named “-i” in directories, so that a mistaken “rm *” would
turn into “rm -i files...”, whether or not there was also an
alias/function/versioning/whatever also in effect.
