[ILUG] OT: Java code, need the right direction

[ILUG] OT: Java code, need the right direction

Hoping for some OT help again.

Have a Student.java class with
JOptionPane.showInputDialog (8 Questions (7 String, 1 Double answers)).

I can create an Arraylist from the fields in a MyData.java.
to save the data, and also print to file.txt

Have Menu.java
to choose buttons (Login. Register, Cancel)

But having cheked JTextfiled\JTexarea,
am still uncertain of it's use in this scenario.
If "Register JButton" is clicked how can
can I get all the Q.s and spaces for answers to appear in a single
Window as one is a double?

I'm asking because we aren't told,
but have to root out.
My tusks are worn at this stage.

Have searched Google, maybe incorrect terms?
"java JTextField example"
http://tinyurl.com/6yfbxej
"java JTextArea example"
http://tinyurl.com/68v4c7u

Have also downloaded oracle tuts.
