It was used (in it's sysrescue form) to prove the disks were still alive, once 
the first problem was sorted. [1]

Any half or smaller decent live cd would have worked at that.

It is my understanding that a box full of new goodness will be operational 
soon if not sooner. 


[1] There was a naughty stick of ram which was taken to one side and had some 
words had with it. It has gone to WEEEEEEEEE hell!
