Hi guys,
I guess 20th anniversary is the best opportunity to recall, when and how
was your first Linux.
In November 95' I got 5 disks with Linux which was started from ms-dos .
There was a linux.bat and as a file system I used umsdos.I had even
X-server with 16 colours, wow and minicom to chat with others .
Shortly before Christmas 95/96 I compiled for the very first time my own
kernel... it took over 4 hours !! .It was pretty complicated
actually...there was only make config and no possibility to return...but
still better than win 95' though.
And how was it with you guys ?
