Thanks to the OP for his post. I've been using ROS for years - back
when it didn't work on Linux - and assumed nothing had changed,
Just tried it now with Sun/Oracle Java and Chromium with my certs
moved as per:

and it worked without issues.
Sweet. One less reason to spin up my Windows VirtualBox.
