Now I want to tackle events - and sureld the ilug list is not the place
to look here

as it is woefully out of date!
How would one go about compiling a list of useful events for users? I've
hacked together a multi-RSS pulling news section, but event information
would need to be manually entered, which I don't mind doing, but where
to look?
