Linux System/Network Administrator
=======================
Role:
Experienced System & Network Administrator required to maintain and
enhance existing in-house IT services (primarily Linux) in a dynamic
software development company.
The Systems & Network Administrator will be responsible for the
correct functioning and security of the company's IT infrastructure
and systems to support development and QA teams as well as
facilitating deployments to live customer sites.
Requirements:
To lead in migrating and enhancing the system & network infrastructure
within the organisation.
Advise and plan network management best practices and IT processes
going forward.
Ongoing management of internal user accounts.
Participate in the evaluation, recommendation and selection of
hardware and software solutions.
Configure network management support services (Monitoring, DMZ, VPN,
Access points etc.).
Contribute to disaster recovery strategy.
Maintain pool of internal application servers and associated dependencies.
Be actively engaged in troubleshooting and liaising with developers on
active project development.
Analyze and improve availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability,
security and performance of products.
Contribute to technical design related issues at the outset of projects
Skills required:
Linux (Redhat/CentOS) system administration
TCP/IP Networking and network design & implementation
Linux scripting/programming
Virtualization technologies
System hardware knowledge
Web/J2EE Application server configuration & administration
Preferable:
Solaris & Windows system administration
Database administration (Oracle/MySQL)
Embedded systems
VOIP and multimedia networking
Experience in TV and video technologies
Terms:
Fixed Term Contract
