I upgraded a monitoring box which runs Nagios from lenny to squeeze. This went reasonably well, except that the nagios commands snmp_procs and snmp_users don't work. I have only investigated snmp_procs but I suspect the root cause is the same for snmp_users, and this is that there seems to be MIBS missing from squeeze which were in lenny.
The command
snmpwalk -Os -c COMMUNITY -v 1 my.test.host host.hrSystem.hrSystemProcesses
when run on lenny returns
hrSystemProcesses.0 = Gauge32: 98
but when run on squeeze it returns
host.hrSystem.hrSystemProcesses: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> host)
By querying .1 I deduce that iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.6.0 is the same variable, but where has the other name gone?
Any ideas ?
